When looking at Casa Dolores’s exterior—which resembles a contemporary stone citadel—one might not imagine the surprising interior geography that awaits. Casa Dolores responds to the unique challenge of a triangular lot to create unexpected spaces that soften hard angles, like intimate gardens and welcoming gathering spaces. The home achieves this livability by inviting nature inside: from a central patio garden flows a Japanese pond that then winds past the dining area, signaling the duality present all around the property: personal reflection and shared conversation.
